Nickelodeon asked me to create a broadcast package for Season 2 of House of Anubis. They wanted me to create a few connected 3d environments based on some scenes from the show that we could then use to produce a large range of animations within. I delivered a series of composited 3d shots in After Effects where all the text was set up in separate comps and could be easily versioned out.

Client: Nickelodeon
Role: 3d Designer, Animation, Compositing
Creative Director: Matthew Duntemann, Chris Papa
Art Director: Richard Smykowski
Type Animation/Particular Effects: Chris Stearns

Was working on this here and there for a few months when I was planning to put out a new reel for 2012. I wanted to make something similar to my last reel intro where things came together to build my name in the end. What would actually be coming together changed frequently but the idea of it happening in a basement studio stuck so I kept building when I had time. I modeled everything and animated the shapes/machine with a mix of deformers (random, displacer, twist, bulge, surface, squash & stretch).

The lighting set up was altered but based off one of nick campbell's studio light kits at greyscalegorilla.com/blog/. All the compositing was done in AE. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

I bought the Canon Rebel T2i and a new mac right before a blizzard hit Nyc trapping me in my apartment for a few days. Saw it as a good opportunity to make something. Still needs some work but I guess I already missed the holidays.

I had the opportunity recently to work on the AIGA's (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Gain Conference this year at Gretel. Gain is the AIGA's yearly conference which focuses on the business of design. We created a title sequence and dozens of title cards for the event. Here are some of the speakers introduction animations I got to work on.

This is a personal project I was working on in 3d Max. It's a fun piece representing the complexity that makes up all good projects. The many pieces of the puzzle that come together in trying to create something impactful.
